Bird in my room

After the mouse I now have a bird in my room. He comes in through the open window in my bathroom and shits on my water taps. He also made a nest somewere in our living room.

No woman, no cry

When we went home after a dinner with all our friends here we took a rickshaw. Usually we're around 10 to 12 people in a small little rickshaw when we go home after these dinners: someone sits in front next to the driver, in the middle people sit and lie on eachother, and then some people sit in the back with the legs hanging outside of the rickshaw. You get a little squeezed, but it's always lots of fun. And the driver was singing: "No woman, no cry, no chapati, no chai..."

chapati = flat bread
chai = tea

Bollywood II

What I forgot to say about movies in India is that when you get your tickets there is a separate line for men and for women. Because there are a lot more men than women going to the movies there is a huge line for men and a small one for women! It's like positive discrimination! Sometimes it's great to be a woman...

Bollywood

Going to an Indian movie is great! Everybody in the cinema hall is shouting, singing, screaming, sometimes dancing. The actors in the movies are overacting, the female actresses are walking around half-naked (which is NOT accepted in the streets, but it is in movies because they’re “unrealistic”). All the movies are sponsored by Rayban, Abercrombie and MC Donnalds! That means that the actors go to MC Donnalds at least once in the movie and always walk around with Rayban sunglasses... The movies are funny with lots of dancing and singing, and if you don’t understand Hindi you can still understand the movie because everything is so obvious!
