White beauty

In India it's beautiful to have white skin! In the shops you can find all kind of products like bleaching products, skin lotion that makes the skin lighter. On television there's lots of advertisement for these products. First you see a man with dark skin, then he uses the product and suddenly he's very white and all the girls look at him when he's walking on the street!! Indian also don't understand why we go to the pool every weekend to get some tan...

Himalayas

Last week we did a trip to the Himalayas. It was beautiful. Small little peacefull villages in the mountains with snowy mountain views. In total we spent about 60 hours in the bus!! But it was worth it. We went to Rishikesh (the gate to the Himalayas), Manali, Vashisht, Dharmsala. The last day in the Himalayas we saw the Dalai Lama in Mc Leod Ganj, very special experience. From there we travelled to Delhi to spend the weekend there and to party for Diwali (it's a Hindi festival and you can compare it to our Christmas). It was also nice to have some cold weather again and to be able to wear a sweater and a jacket!
